The second health fair occurred in a village familiar with Isioma Okobah foundation’s health fairs. The excitement from the patient continued as patients flooded the health fair consistently throughout the day. During this second health fair, I learned how to check blood glucose from the Nigerian nurses. I had small conversations with each patient trying to distract them from the small prick I had to inflict on their finger. Translators were not as prevalent at this health fair so I had to communicate with through signaling and expressions. After the health fair, we met some of the children within the village of Igbodo. We told them of about the Christmas Party we were throwing for them on Christmas Eve in which they responded with great excitement! We also me our first Obi, or king as a group. He welcomed us into his home and thanked us for working hard to serve his village for the day.
