December 14th-17th we spent culturally Immersing ourselves into the Nigerian Culture. We were tourist exploring Lagos going on adventures to the Local Market, Mall, grocery store and even a boat ride!
We spent three days in Lagos Immersing ourselves into the Nigerian Culture. My favorite memory in Lagos was our trip to Balogun Trade Fair Market in Lagos. The market experience was very unique and different from any past shopping experience. As we walked in a group through the market people knew we foreign visitors. Different vendors welcomed us into their shopping booths to show off their goods. We had to hold hands as we moved through the crowded market stopping at various vendors. Some vendors without booths just moved through the busy crowd advertising their goods balanced on their heads. We learned to negotiate prices and I even bought shea butter from the head of a vendor!
