Christmas Eve was a very unique opportunity to interact with people of Igbodo Village in a relaxed environment. Children swarmed to us as we entered the village bringing tears to my eyes seeing and physically feeling their excitement. The DJ played the latest African Hits and the children of all ages started dancing. We spend the whole day dancing with children of the village. The children put on a traditional African dance performance playing their traditional instruments. We danced with the elders and learned their traditional African dances. We played games with kids and hosted multiple dance contest that had every child on their feet. After leaving the village we spent our Christmas Eve night at the Governor’s home enjoying a wonderful dinner, more dancing and singing.
